"Perfect location for going just 20km north to Heidelberg or less than an hour south to the scenic roadway through the Black Forest from Baden Baden. The hotel is at the end of its street in a quiet neighborhood and backs up to farmland. Plenty of free parking. We had no children with us, but there is lovely open space for them to run about and a walking trail to a small park. (Ask for a room in Bldg 2, second or third floor - for the quiet farm view from your private balcony) Spotlessly clean...

"Wir waren zu Gast in einer gemütlichen Pension mit gutem Frühstück. Man gab uns das Gefühl, herzlich willkommen zu sein. Leider haben wir während der zwei Nächte Aufenthalt ( Samstag und Sonntag) kaum schlafen können, weil einige Pensionsgäste sich nachts sehr laut und weniger rücksichtsvoll verhalten haben. "Alles soweit okay,das Frühstück hätte abwechslungsreicher und täglich frischer sein können. Café war gut , genau wie der Brötchenservice. Gemütlichkeit hat gefehlt. Sehr kalt im Frühstücksraum ,mit offener Haustür bei morgens 12 grad."

"The hotel is wonderful, on the outskirts of the forest with easy access to hiking and a playground. Only a 12-minute drive to Heidelberg’s Altstadt, their breakfast was good and reasonably priced. Friendly staff, air conditioning, huge tub and shower in the junior suite, beautiful Biergarten with a playground to occupy the kids....all reasons why we would choose this hotel every time possible when visiting Heidelberg!"

"Second visit and staff / service were still very friendly and efficient. Food in restaurant was very good, wholesome, traditional and great value, as was its artisan beer. Although room decor a little tired, it was clean and serviced daily. Also found out rooms and restaurant dog friendly. Would definitely book again if staying in the area. "

"This quaint hotel in the middle of Stein, is what we all think of the charming, cozy, German Inn. The woodwork is beautiful, the food is high quality, the beer is good, and the staff is helpful (speaks English), and are vey welcoming. It is in the middle of town, just a few short steps to a bakery and a number of other shops. Right behind the hotel and up the hill a few blocks is a 650-year old church that is meticulously cared for. Overall, I loved this place and will be coming back to...
