"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

"Collected by the owner from the Camino Path just 2km away as advised by another reviewer which worked well. The owner checked us in but was not a very cheerful sole!! Room was large, bed was ok! Bathroom good and cleanliness very good. The food was standard for a pilgrims menu, but offered only pork which I do not eat so had lettuce for dinner :-( which after a long day walking not ideal. Soup starter was very good indeed. Loved meeting other fellow pilgrims at dinner. Didn’t like the cost of a...
