"We booked this property for end of September 2024 based on the reviews we read and we liked the look of the pool area. We was not disappointed. The staff were excellent and every request was met with a speedy response and the hotel was very clean. The pool was great with stunning views. However, to have these views you have to be prepared to climb some hills. Yes it was hard work but well worth the effort as the view is simply beautiful. "Room newly done to a very good standard. Pool and area very relaxing. All kept beautifully clean. Breakfast delightful. Dinner good - orange cake a 'must'! Staff exceptional - welcoming and helpful. Close to shops, many restaurants and Port - taxi to door if required. Very short distance to airport. "

"Siamo stati benissimo, lo staff molto gentile, il signor Leo parla benissimo italiano ed è stato davvero disponibile, ci ha accontentato in tutto. Ci hanno preso e riportato dall’aereoporto. Ottima colazione, molto vasta sia il dolce che il salato. Pulizie ottime e camera spaziosa. Inoltre ci hanno lasciato ogni giorno un sacchetto con dei panini per il pranzo. "Great location! The property was clean, basic rooms but cleaned daily and towels and sheets changed regularly. Air con was a bonus. Pool area great for Skiathos town. Only downside for me was the bathroom a bit dark and could do with a revamp…shower screen instead of curtain. But wouldn’t put me off going back for sure! "

"Great one night stay at Hotel Mato. Traditional old Greek house where the lady owner was so helpful and friendly. We had a room at the top of the house (up a spiral staircase) which had a spacious balcony with amazing views of the port. Lovely traditional Greek breakfast. The location is fantastic for Skiathos old town and the ferry port. Would recommend (as long as you like cats - she has tons them! ) "
