"The room we got was not like the room on the Expedia website. The bathroom needed work and cleaning and the air conditioning didn't work well. The stairs leading to our room felt like they were going to break. The manager told us he had trouble getting someone to fix them, but it would happen next week. It is in a seedy part of town and we didn't feel safe going out after dark. The staff was very nice."

"Average hotel that could use some updating in an area that appears a bit unsafe and I am not sure I would walk around the area after dark; however, the hotel does have gated entrances to ensure security of vehicle and rooms."

"Property was being refurbished while we stayed. The place looked like a building site.We were the only guests and basically locked ourselves in behind electric entry and exit gates.We didn't feel safe during the night and the area wasn't very nice. The lady on reception was nice but I wouldn't advise anyone to book there until the refurb is finished "

"THE " Heavitree Gap Outback Lodge " was just such a refreshing place to stay at minimal cost. The staff at reception "LESLIE AND PAGE were so helpful and refreshingly honest in their attitude towards customers and their respective jobs. The cleaning and room preparation was excellent and the cleaning staff were most obliging in providing extra service if there was a requirement.. such as sugar, tea, milk, blankets etc. Kudos to the groundsmen for their efforts to keep all clean and tidy."
