"This hotel was fine for what we needed it for: a place to crash overnight before getting a train to Florence. The room was clean, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom well equipped. Staff could have been more pleasant, there were almost no dining options we could access without a car, and the breakfast was below average compared to what we had at other hotels in Italy."

However, it has many details that could improve the room, which is quite poorly decorated, with bathroom accessories of very poor quality, the mattress is old and soft. "I had a great staying at Hotel Santo Stefano. The staff is absolutely wonderful; I travelled by public transport and they came to pick me up and take me back to the bus stop. The rooms are very spacious and confortable. The hotel has got a restaurant which is very handy when you have spent a day at the Archive and you are too tired to go out. "Beautiful setting, perched high on a hill overlooking the valley and mountains. Luigi, the owner, spoke good English and is there to greet you at your arrival. The comfortable lounge chairs and pool were a great way to relax after a day of touring. There is a lovely terrace to enjoy a complimentary glass of Persecco while watching the sunset, prior to dinner. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed two delicious dinners on the terrace. A great hotel for couples or older singles. "
