"Arrived on Sunday around 6:00 P.M. Hotel was dark, one door was open and lights came on, but no one was there to check us in. Found a phone number on the receipt, but that didn't work. The small print non the receipt said to make arrangements if you arrive after 12:00 on Sunday. Didn't see that until we found the hotel dark and deserted. "Overall what you would expect in a Danish Kro, but two things could be better: only one towel in a two-bed room, and a difficult tv with no instructions available. "

"A wonderful find! A quaint, small property that was perfect in every respect. Friendly staff, delicious breakfast buffet, and a spotless room. Hals is also convenient for sightseeing anywhere in N. Jylland: Skagen, Aalborg, Lonstrup, Voergaard, etc. Will absolutely stay at the Hals Hotel on our next trip to the area."

"The hotel is located 5 minutes drive away from the ferry terminal, which was the reason we booked it in the first place. Our stay was pleasant overall. There are no tea or coffee making facilities in the room, but you can get complimentary tea and a decent coffee at reception, but they close at 9pm. Breakfast was average, with one or two hot food options - hard boiled eggs and omelet. Given the same requirements i would stay there again."

"Hotel Strandgaarden ligger i cykelafstand til færgen i skønne omgivelser. Rigtig hyggeligt gammel badehotel med nyere tilbygninger med dejlige værelser. God service og lækker morgenmad. Der er ikke restaurant, men personalet tilbyder at man kan bruge spisestuen til hjemmebragt aftensmad uden at det koster ekstra. Man kan købe øl,vin, vand til sin mad. Lækkert! "

"We truly enjoyed our visit at this property. It is located in a very rural area but the property itself is spacious, clean and very comfortable. We were greeted by the smiling owners which instantly made us feel at home. The rooms we're up to date, clean, and the bedding was very comfortable.
