"Very charming hotel overlooking the lake. Lovely landscaping made for beautiful outdoor spaces to lie in a hammock, sit by the water, etc. Our room was clean and nice, but the bathroom and sheets could have been better. Breakfast was good - you get some options of traditional Guatemalan, more American style, pancakes, yogurt/granola etc. It is built into the hillside over the lake so there is some walking up and down to get around, but the staff kindly helped us with our luggage. No TVs in our room so would recommend bringing books / a deck of cards. We enjoyed using the free kayaks but were a little disappointed the hot tub was an additional charge. The area is in between San Juan and San Pedro - it's an easy walk into San Juan by a path down by the water, and easy to walk into San Pedro too but it's along a main road without sidewalks. Tuktuks are cheap and easy ways to get around, as are water taxis."

"Our stay at Eden was the most enjoyable we’ve had in all of Guatemala. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. I loved stepping outside of my little cabin and smelling fresh herbs like basil, lavender, and oregano. Our cabin was adorable and the staff did everything they could to make us feel comfortable, safe, and like we were apart of the community. Judd and Maria were so friendly and gave us great recommendations of restaurants and things to do. There was even a restaurant at the hotel with yummy thin crust pizza. We even took an aerial silk class at our hotel from an amazing instructor named Calissa. I would definitely come back here again if I had the chance. We got so lucky and felt so blessed to find this place. "
