"Booked this as a stopover on the way back to UK from Italy and boy did we fall lucky. We stayed in a lodge in the grounds and it was comfortable, clean and larger than we expected. However the highlight of our trip was the main building where there is a lovely bar with great staff and the outstanding restaurant. "Really nice hotel and in a great location just 45 mins from Calais. The room was great and overlooked fields and had a really nice balcony. Dinner was great and the wine choices were good too. The pool was amazing, just what was needed after a long drive. Everything was extremely clean and very well looked after. Lovely stay"

"My wife and I have been visiting Hotel St. Louis over a number of years and have never been dis-appointed. It is convenient to Channel Ferries and has safe parking. The staff are very helpful and dinner presentation and food excellent. Breakfast was also good value. Main wing of Hotel also has a lift to all floors. "

"Very poor, booked on the basis of 8 out of 10 rating but honestly not sure who posted these reviews. Booked a second night for the following week ( non refundable) and couldn't bring myself to return so booked a different hotel meaning more than double the cost. No water in the shower, no food and damp bedding. Service was poor and I was made to feel unwelcome. Stayed at the Ibis budget and felt like a rock star compared to this place. Avoid like the plague."

"It was not verybeasy to find at first and we were unsure about the parking. However once we arrived and were reassured that road side parking was free, we felt more relaxed. The staff were very friendly, and we managed to communicate in broken English. The rooms are spacious only downside was the free internet which did not connect very well. BreKfast was good, selection of various continental foods. We would definitely stay again (perfect for just one night)"
