"Second time staying here. Did arrive in time to use the pool this time but still a good stay. Room had all we needed, was comfortable and clean. Perfect for an overnight stay whilst travelling back to the UK from Spain with a dog. Nice walk with the dog around the two small lakes and spotted two otters! Really handy to have a well- stocked supermarket in the car park! Will stay here again"

"The first thing you notice is that the outside of the hotel needs repainting. The second is that the old chipped bath in the ensuite needs ripping out and a modern shower is needed as you can't stand up and shower in the bath. Having said that, the rest of our stay was lovely. The hotel is attached to five acres of woods, they allow dogs to stay in the rooms, and our two Labradors loved their walks there. The swimming pool looks nice, although being February we didn't try it! The staff are...

"Great staff and location. Rooms are on the small side and the hotel is in the process of renovating them. Restaurant with hotel is good, and offers in-room service. "

Only one negative point, the electronic room lock failed after the first evening so we had to be let into the room every time by the reception staff, thank goodness for 24 hour reception.A safe in the room for valuables would be a welcome additional feature. "
