"The view from the balcony of each cabin is to die for!!! The staff extremely friendly! Food in the restaurelant limited but tasty and very reasonably priced. Now the bad news. Inside the cabins everything is so tired to say the least.The electric sockets practically hanging out. The shower so small you can hardly turn round ( and i am a slim guy). It looks to me like the owner is giving up on it... Such a shame as i really wanted to give high rating..."

"The hotel is positioned right across from the lake. Beautiful and tranquil property. Breakfast mostly fruits, eggs, juice, coffee and African tea. The rooms need upgrades, remodeling, better colors on the wall, better paintings. TV in the room did not work. WiFi here is terribly bad and horrible. Those things management and owners need to take into account and fix it. Also, when you pay for your stay thru Expedia they automatically receive notification that customer paid but when you check in...

"Die Zimmer/Häuser sind riesig, auch Familien haben mehr als genug Platz. Highlight ist die Außendusche, vor allem und gerade auch bei schlechterem Wetter. Der Blick über den See, herrlich. "i was not given a room that rooms were fully booked and no contact from Exoedia or Hotel.com on my booking. i need my money refunded by Expedia and Wonder why Expedia should cause this i travelled for 5 hours to be denied accommodation which hotel said they don't have any agreement with Expedia to market their hotel Very Disappointing"

"Dian Fossey Hotep is one of the more unique places I’ve stayed due to the artwork around the facility. Paintings and statues depicting Rwandan traditional culture and wildlife adorn the grounds and hotel. The staff are very kind and helpful."

"There is no beach and the gate was shut when I arrived and had to wait an hour. The phone number was disconnected and there was a chicken that made noise waking me up 3 am. Not impressed "

Those things management and owners need to take into account and fix it. Also, when you pay for your stay thru Expedia they automatically receive notification that customer paid but when you check in they keep asking to show proof that you paid which is absurd and ridiculous. Other than that the place is beautifu. From hotel to city center by moto taxi is RFW1,000, don't pay more. Boat ride outside of the hotel is RWF15,000 for one hour. I would not recommend hot spring because is not hygienic, dirty and trashy. "
