"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. Also a cozy bar and in nice weather a courtyard. There is a v.good Italian restaurant next door, and cafe 2 blocks away. You will want to go into Saumur Centre-- a 15 minute walk over...

"Beautiful old mansion. Our room totally renovated, but fun to see the old features of a mansion like that out in the country. The staff was also extraordinarily friendly and warm. Thank you!"

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"Olde world building at the centre of the village. Very friendly staff and very clean room and communal areas. Very good breakfast. One of the staff booked a table in a near by restaurant, due to it being a Sunday and not many places open on a Sunday in France. Would I stay here again, a definite yes."

"From the moment we arrived until the moment we left we were looked after very well by Phillipe, Natasha and the staff. Our room was very comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and the shower was very good. However, for us the highest marks should go to to the food. The breakfast had an excellent European choice. The dinners were superb. The menu was changed everyday and there was a limited but good choice of dishes. Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious. The fish and desserts...
