"The room i was in was reasonably nice. Dated decor, but clean and comfortable. Staff were helpful, however hardly spoke any English, so it was tricky getting checked in and out. Breakfast was poor. The sausages and eggs were cold (I did get a bit of an upset stomach on my third day, however not sure if this was because of the breakfast or something else I ate outside the hotel) and the bread was hard. " I had accidentally made a reservation for the wrong day, but the desk clerk was able to accommodate me by replacing my double room reservation with two single room reservations for the corrrect day and didn't charge me any additional fees for what was truly my mistake."

"Die vorgegebenen Corona Richtlinien wurden von Seiten des Hotels eingehalten. Gäste haben beim Frühstück dagegen verstoßen ( Abstandsregelung, 4 Personen an einem kleinen Tisch). Dem Personal war der Umstand bewusst. Es wurden aber keine Abstellmaßnahmen eingeleitet. "

"Nice hotel, close to the former border - recommend to ask the boss about it - certainly an interesting conversation. They have also a nice Wellness area (Sauna), Food is very good (we took the local Cold plate for dinner). There is a room which can be locked for bycicles. Friendly staff ! Nearby are Castle Heldburg and nice bike Trails along the former border patrol ways. "
