"We chose this hotel because it was an hour from Santander and just off our main route from Portugal to the ferry port for the UK. Lovely town with impressive old centre and lovely riverside walks. Lively market the day we arrived (Tuesday). Be aware that self-parking is actually free on-street parking but area seems very secure so we left most of our extensive contents in car and had no problem. Also,hotel restaurant non-functioning so sought dinner in town and nowhere open until 9pm. But...

Me impresionó mucho la calidad de la cocina,excelente!!!!! Y desde que se llega se nota la cercania que transmiten en el servicio, las chicas con muy ,muy buena atencion lo explican todo... "A really charming hotel, decor is fairly old, but that adds to the charm. Guests mostly of an older generation but everyone was very welcoming of our young family. Rooms spacious and very comfortable. We ate lunch in the restaurant and the food was delicious."

"We arrived and there was no electricity and no candles or torches. We sat in our cold room for at least and hour and a half in the freezing cold and pitch black before the power came on. The room was tiny and the bathroom was tiny too. The walls are very thin and the whole place rather grim. The breakfast was toast, some pastries, juice and a hot drink. Wifi was non existent in our room"
