"We stayed for 1 night travelling from Salzburg to Venice. A clean and friendly family feel to this place in a spectacular location with supermarket couple of mins drive away. Staff were welcoming and helpful and supplied a good breakfast. Our room was fairly basic but gave what was required but we did have to report a running toilet and the room got very hot due to heatwave and lack of any air con. Balcony was an added bonus. "

"What a wonderful and interesting place to stay! I almost couldn’t leave and explore as there’s so much to see within the premises. My particular room would not be many people’s choice of decor but it was such a talking point and did not deter from the comfort. "We arrived late at night to the hotel, reception was closed but the owner had left an envelope with everything we needed for our stay with a warm handwritten note (including instructions to get a beer from the fridge!) "Away from main tourist area so it was nice and quiet. However, check in wasn’t as expected. We arrived while the check in desk was supposedly staffed however no one was there. We called the number on the sign and it rang forever until someone eventually picked up and directed us on how to obtain our keys. "
