"We arrived at prime check in time but no one at the desk, and it took 10 minutes and ringing the bell multiple times before anyone showed up. The room was very basic, and was on the first floor. It was incredibly hot, and although there was a fan, even with all windows open, it didn’t cool off. The fridge in the room was also putting out exhaust heat, adding to the misery. Being on the first floor, with windows open, we heard ALL of the street noise of which there was much - teens racing...

Units face out to yards where you can see into other properties (like an apartment complex) so the walk-out deck area was not private and had no view. "The Schlüssel is located close to the train station and near the local bus stop (blue and red lines). Breakfast options were great. You can ski to the middle of town from the Gemstock then walk about 300 meters back to the Hotel. Many good restaurants are nearby. I would consider a longer stay next time I'm in Andermatt. "
