"Per the website I was expecting a quaint motel with character and charm. This is not what we got. Musty, mouldy, and unclean spaces throughout the motel. Smoking was made available just outside the doors which permeated the building. "

"On registering, we received a parking permit for our car, so we could park on the local streets. The manager was very friendly, and gave us a nice breakfast each morning. The room was a good size, and the bed was very comfortable. We left a camera battery charger in the bathroom, and the hotel staff contacted us immediately and tried to return it to us. They were very helpful and sympathetic."

"Location was close to downtown St Johns so easy access to restaurants, shopping and nightlife. Not too close to be disturbed by late night noise. Property is a little run down but comfortable enough. The rooms have a kitchenette but you have to ask at the desk for any pans etc... The complimentary breakfast is just cold cereal and prepackaged pastries."
