"The hotel is an early 20th century building (I think) with the style of the belle epoch and our room had wonderful high ceilings and tall windows with a balcony overlooking the bay. There was a good sized desk and fridge, but no kettle. Wifi was good and the first time in Croatia we were actually able to connect reliably. "The online checkin app didn’t work but the owner did respond quickly on WhatsApp. This property is in a historic building on the fourth floor and there is no elevator. Street parking was difficult to find. We happened to be there on a Saturday and street parking is free Saturday and Sunday. The room/ kitchen is a good layout and surprisingly has a lot of storage for a small space. Appeared to be very residential and I didn’t see a lot of restaurants and shops. "

"This was a wonderful apartment! Lovely hosts who live on site. Gave us a welcome shot and beer and were very friendly! The apartment is walking distance down to the beach through a little forest hike which was very quaint! Loved it and the town and wish we would have booked a couple days. Only thing was check out was earlier than normal 9am...keep that in mind but I would recommend!! "

"If you missed out on the Communist era, the Hotel Neboder is running a neat simulation, note-perfect in several aspects: the menacing front-desk staff, outdated and broken furniture, carpets that needed replacing 20 years ago, and, of course, the truly scary mid-70’s elevator. Extra touches include an air conditioner pegged at 24 C, and room curtains that don’t fit the windows, but none of it would really work without the general atmosphere of hopelessness that is their real masterstroke.
