"My wife and I didn't make it to the hotel until after midnight. I felt bad that the hotel tried to reach out to me beforehand, to know what time I may arrive, but I was in the mountains and didn't see the message until we arrived at the hotel. "Wanted a night in the countryside close to San Marino. The place had good views of the hills and valley and was peaceful. It isn’t really close to a city but it was fine for a night."

"The place itself was fine for our needs; however, I do have concerns over the welfare of the animals on site. The donkey enclosure was small, full of faeces, and had no fresh grass for the donkeys. There are numerous birds gulls? a rabbit, at least 3 ducks all in an enclosure, with very water. Not a natural or good environment for them!!! I will be looking at animal welfare laws in San Marino, and contacting the appropriate people over this. "

"I had a great staying at Hotel Santo Stefano. The staff is absolutely wonderful; I travelled by public transport and they came to pick me up and take me back to the bus stop. The rooms are very spacious and confortable. The hotel has got a restaurant which is very handy when you have spent a day at the Archive and you are too tired to go out. Thumbs up for Hotel Santo Stefano!"

"We were very happy with your stay at Dogana. The staff were incredibly helpful, sharing lots of local information on places to go and restaurants. The breakfast was very generous and there was something for everyone to eat. The shower was good with good pressure. You do need a car from here as you are several kms from the old town sites. We would recommend this hotel whilst taking a short trip to San Marino. "

"I wanted to visit San Marino, so I looked for a hotel close to it. What sealed it was this under facilities, "guests receive complimentary transportation (available 24 hours) and a train pick up service." I attempted to call them numerous times, but the calls were never answered & there was no e-mail address in the ad. When I arrived in Rimini, I was able to find the correct number. "The hotel in itself is great, for the price, really friendly staff, nice room, not expensive, everything. The problem lies in the fact that it is right on a highway. The website may say that it is a few hundred metres from the stop for buses to/from Rimini - what it does not say is that you are practically taking your life in your hands to walk alongside a highway to get to it, especially in the dark.
