"Convenient stopover. Staff were very helpful. Unfortunately the beds were more like single camp beds, rather than the double requested and the pillows weren't good. Worse was that as a service station hotel the main obvious problem would have to be traffic noise, so why weren't the rooms soundproof? Every lorry going past.... "Beautiful Portuguese Casa with lovely garden, pool, and breakfast/rec room. Amazing collections of various items on display everywhere you look. The hostess. Ari, was wonderful and so very helpful. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Rio Maior is only an hour or so from Lisbon and so much more relaxing to stay and enjoy the surrounding sites. Would definitely recommend Casa do Foral. They pay attention to details and will make your stay so very enjoyable. "

"This place is awesome. There are horses which you can ride (for a charge), the property is lovely, and the staff are wonderful. We ate dinner and breakfast at the hotel and everything was delicious. It was a bit tricky to find because it’s down a long road off the main road, and not in town. "

"I stayed for just one night whilst on Camino, the room was excellent, extremely clean and very comfortable. Because it’s a new hotel, they weren’t yet offering meals other than breakfast which was a little sparse but ok. The staff were very helpful in ordering me a takeaway which was delivered to the hotel for me. They are in the process of installing a kitchen so that evening meals can be supplied. Would recommend to anyone walking the caminhos de Fátima "
