The area is not the best, i felt a bit uneasy walking around at night but on the other side there are great local restaurants around where the locals eat which offer excellent food for a good price. "Why stay in downtown Athens when you can stay by the sea? There's a train right in front of the hotel that takes you straight into Athens, with great frequency. I could not have picked a better location to stay while I was there. Come by that with super helpful staff and this was a real delight."
