"It is an ideal hotel for West London. Rooms compact and basic. However there is a fridge, hob and microwave in room. The rooms not servi ed during the stay. "

"The hotel was very conveniently located just a short walk from Bayswater Queensway, tube station, shops, restaurants and also Hyde Park. Converted from London townhouses, the hotel antique in layout and quite charming. There are some caveats though: I was in a single room and while well equipped, it was TINY. The second problem was that it was on the third floor, there is no lift and the staircase is VERY narrow and steep. I had bags and it was a real physical challenge to get them to my room....

"Our room at The Portobello Hotel was huge and richly decorated...we loved spending time in it ,which is unusual for hotel rooms. Breakfast was delightful. Staff was very accommodating including keeping our bag as we went off to Egypt. Hotel is walking distance to Portobello market and lots of great restaurants and Holland Park!"

"The property was lovely and clean and in a great area with lots of dining options (we had multiple morning visits to Farm Girl, and enjoyed a great meal in Aphrodites). Make sure to bring a US to UK travel adapter if you'd like to use the nespresso machine (we did not). We did have one issue - there was no cold water. We ended up buying a 5l bottle of water to keep in the fridge. "
