"We have been in Madagascar 3 weeks and Tropical Paradise Hotel is still our favorite hotel. It is a short tuk tuk ride from town and tuk tuks wait at the road. The staff is amazing, the restaurant is good and the rooms are comfortable except the bed. The only negative we have is that the mattress was thin and after 5 nights it got pretty uncomfortable. I wish I had asked the staff to change it though, because I bet they would have."

"Location of the lodge is real highlight. Right on the shoreline with the sea view on one side, three other sides face greenery of surrounding mangroves with water level changes wih tidal cycles. Rooms face the west providing joy of watching sunsets from private balconies. However, this nature's beauty couldn't translate into a holiday to remember due to reasons of humans making. "This is a small property with maybe ten bungalows. Unfortunately it it quite close to a marshy area so there are mosquitoes. The staff are friendly the restaurant food very good. There is a nice pool and sunbathing area. Walking to and from the property at night is not very well lit. Realistically the things we found negative are not the owners fault, but I thought I should note them. 5 minute walk to a lively area with bars and discos, and the beach."
