"This is a step up from any other hotel experience at this price. The hotel is old in a good way - high ceilings, solid wood and marble features, and lots of small details that make it feel elevated. There are some superficial textile updates needed, but the overall vibe is fantastic. Our only real problem was that the AC throughout the hotel did not work the first night of our stay, so we were quite hot and had trouble sleeping (windows are bolted shut for safety). "Very nice and quiet location. Excellence place to unwind. Room was a comfortable size. We stayed in the Garden Suite which offered a nice sunroom facing the river. Very friendly staff. Town Square is a short walk about 2 or 3 blocks. Love the historical feel."

"This place is VERY SPECIAL hidden on this beautiful piece of land with animals roaming around. Its so pretty there . I came in late it was dark and hard to find but i called and Helen gave me perfect directions and was so sweet. Love all the little lights and special attention to each spot. Would love to come stay in the railroad car someday. If you want quiet and enjoy country and seeing all the stars this is the place to be. Loved it i will be back"
