"Nice sized room with a comfortable bed. Not much in the way of storage. No air con so it was very humid at times as Berlin had a heatwave at the time of our stay. Karlshorst S-Bahn was a five minute walk away and there were a number restaurants on the main drag that the hotel was situated on. Unfortunately, the main road was extremely busy with traffic, trams and emergency vehicles. The trams in Karlshorst run 24 hours a day. With no air con the window had to stay open. "We stayed 3 nights. The first 2 night were great. The hotel is good for the price. Very close to the train station and restaurants. However, our room was above a club and our last night was a Saturday which caused us to stay up till 4 due to the noise. Overall I would say it’s a great place to stay on weekdays."

"Eichwalde is a quiet, residential town. I was planning a couple of long days at DESY-Zeuthen, one S-Bahn stop south of Eichwalde (or a nice 45 minute walk). I typically stay in Berlin proper, but wanted to give this a try. Anyway, I had a small, but very nice, single room. Checked in late via the intercom and key lock-box. I had a German speaker with me, but it seems likely it would have worked in any case. Breakfast was quiet, food and coffee were excellent."
