A roaring log fire and honesty bar for drinks and snacks. The views are spectacular and although in a quiet location, within easy reach of the shops. "

"Landlord and staff very friendly and accommodating. Food very good. Building in need of updating and attention. Not suitable if you go to bed early as noise from bar can keep you awake. Bed very comfortable. Good breakfast "

"We enjoyed our stay. We had a room in the Annex. It was a disabled access room which we do not need with a very small sink which was not fit for purpose for us. No mirror in the bedroom. Blinds unfortunately let the street lighting in. We were only there for a couple of nights if it had been longer we would have requested to move. "

"Don’t let the colour of outside put you off inside is like a 5 star hotel from the moment you walk through the door every thing has been redecorated to the highest standard and quality we have stayed in a lot of hotels and this is one of the best ever . "This was just an amazing place to stay with our dog. They even had a dog bowl and a doggy treat in the room. All the staff and owners were so friendly and helpful. The grounds are safe for dog walking. We had a perfect stay"
