"We loved our stay at hotel dei Capitani, would highly recommend. Montalcino is famous for truffles, wild boar, wine, and beautiful views, especially from this hotel. It is on top of a mountain and in the country so you can expect to see bugs in your room like spiders, mosquitos, stink bugs, but they are mostly all harmless and more of a nuisance than anything. "Superb views from room and breakfast area. Air conditioned room with comfortable beds. Room size, however, was very compact for a family of 4. We found the step into the bathroom concerning as using the bathroom during the night when in a semi-conscious state, 2 of our party had stumbles. The staff were very attentive and always friendly. The room was very clean. Plenty of safe parking available within grounds"

"Check in was easy. Staff very helpful. Room was large and very clean. Bed was very comfortable. Elevator was very helpful especially for getting to breakfast on the 4th floor. Breakfast room had glass all around providing a great view of the valley. Food was substantial. Even had pancakes. Adding eggs would be nice for visitors.
