"This resort was an oasis. The facility was immaculate and the staff were attentive and professional. The pool was at a perfect temperature. Their on-site dining was delicious; we recommend trying the Nepalese specials like Mustang Aloo. We arranged a tour to Lumbrini to visit the temples and it was a 40 minute drive with a very helpful guide. "

"The only good thing I can say is the wifi working somehow and we got a place to sleep for a night. We booked 2 rooms and both were dirty.Bed sheets were dirty, looks like its not been changed for a while, Upon notifying the receptation, they said - " We just changed it yesterday, you can't get cleaner then this, this is how it works here". "Lets face it. Butwal is not a tourist destination or major foreign investment site. The hotel options are limited. At Darcy's you get a clean room, professional service, safe meals and privacy. " The hotel was nice but in need of updating. We had a Japanese-styled room with rice paper doors with many damaged rice paper panels. There was no light next to the bed, only the overhead light. "We stopped here to break up our drive from Pokhara to Lumbini. It was reasonably cool except for late afternoon -- hey, it's summer time. No A/C but a table top fan is provided.
