"I was pleasantly surprised by the modern and clean feel in our room. The big drawback to the room is lack of a microwave or refrigerator. It also didn't have the expected coffee maker, etc. But I don't drink coffee, so that wasn't an issue. My sister drinks coffee and she didn't care. The free breakfast with the room was unexpected and appreciated. We had to fill out our order the night before and it wasn't ready until after 8 AM the next day. That was fine since we had gotten up to do some pre-dawn night sky viewing and watch the sun hit the walls of the canyon heading to Lees Ferry. The new dining/check-in/gift shop area was very clean and nice. We ate supper there when we arrived. It was very good food. The only other thing I would have liked was a hot shower. The water was cold and I didn't want to waste the water waiting for it to warm up. So I took a cold shower. My sister got a little warmer water. Since we are used to camping and making-do, the motel met our needs and provided a nice and safe stop-over. The staff are very friendly and accommodating. They went out of their way to make us feel welcome and important. "
