"Our stay was very good. Very comfortable and economical. Just the hotel was packed the evening we checked in and we were on the 1st floor. It was very noisy all night. Unfortunately, it was young ppl and they bounced a ball above us and screamed and laughed in the passageways most of the night. At vreakfast it was over corwded and hot. I suggest you have the aircons running doring breakfast as it gets very uncomfortable. Staff are always amazing. "

"I stayed at room 208, the room seem like its been abandoned for ages. Mold growth on the ceiling and wall corners , curtains are dirty, no TV remote, no shower gel, have to wait for towels. Let alone the fact that I chose an option of a breakfast and paid extra yet the hotel does not provide breakfast"

"This hotel is located just across the street from the beach, which was great. My room was not sea facing, but I still had a bit of a sea view from the side. The street does get busy with a lot of car traffic & people so you have to be aware of your surroundings & your belongings, esp. when walking around. "The room had no towels. But a quick call to reception and towel were delivered. Dinner was really good. Breakfast was amazing and plentiful. Staff were friendly. "

"It was not even close to why we expected . The rooms were very basic and not well maintained . The facilities were sub par and the staff ( with very few exceptions ) were not at all interested in assisting or being friendly . We received limited information about what to do and what the facilities were . I rarely write bad reviews but we ended up leaving half way through our stay and they were not even interested as to why . We forfeited two night ( and we had two rooms ) it was so bad . "

"Staying at Southey House was a superb experience! My hosts were friendly & kind - always willing to assist. By chance, I met with the proprietor of this establishment - Like her staff, she was ultra friendly & inquired about my stay experience. I informed her that the parking was a bit tight for more than 3 vehicles - she however assured me that there are plans to expand. "The accommodation was nothing like the pictures on the website. The bedding and furniture is outdated …driveway too steep . I had to extend my stay but moved to a different accommodation. Will not book this accommodation again. "
