"We had a fantastic 3 night stay here for a family wedding which was in nearby location. Our room was spotlessly clean and well appointed with a huge walk in wardrobe and a decent supply of hangers. We had dinner on 2 nights and the food was of excellent quality and very generous portions with a great choice. "The most comfortable and friendly hotel we have ever stayed in. The staff was amazing and the accomodations were excellent. The Crown restuarant was also outstanding, both staff and food. "

"I was disappointed that the hotel charged for parking your car in their car park. For me no hotel should charge their guests a fee for parking. Also when I got a drink of coke from the bar it was served from a plastic coke bottle. The drink was flat. Although the rooms were comfortable and spotlessly clean I found the hotel to be soulless and very matter of fact. "

"Characterful and convenient, just off the M4. We had a lovely room (particularly liked the bathroom configuration) no 9. Noise from the motorway is only intrusive if you are not expecting it. Suited our needs perfectly. "

"Not too far from the centre of town for a shop or extra facilities, however, close enough to a main road to hear traffic during the day, not an issue. Would have liked to be able to stream or cast to the rooms television as me and the other half just wanted to relax during our stay, however, that's a very specific want and has no bearing on the accommodation. All in all, was a lovely weekend away, relaxing and the staff were ever so lovely."

The stay was absolutely excellent value and suited our needs for a welcome dinner and bed and breakfast stop, as part of a Ridgeway walking holiday. "The room, toilet and bath facilities were clean to a very good standard and the decor was tasteful and restful. We had a lovely view over the Nailsworth Valley. We were well-pleased with the accommodation which suited our needs admirably. The evening meal in the restaurant was nicely presented and was delicious and enjoyable."

"Lovely, quirky and sexy main house with excellent food and service (but few digestifs and limited by glass options) but no path to our “shepherd’s” hut on rails. Wandered around in dark unsuccessfully to find shower and toilet access. Not evident this morning either. Huts did not lock, and smoke did not evacuate well so left window open overnight. "
