"My wife and I stayed at the Bryne Hotell after a Burns Supper organized and hosted by the hotel. A very enjoyable event accompanied by traditional music (a visiting Scottish band), bagpipes, whisky, haggis and poetry. "We srayed at this hotel due to its proxomity to pulpit rock. It is only about 10 minutes away by car. The service was great, we got upgraded to a better room without even asking. The staff are friendly. The hotel has an elevator, so it was not a problem getting our luggage to the first floor. "We really looked forward to staying here but our stay was absolutely ruined by smokers next door. We paid extra for a harbour view which was lovely but we could not open the window or sit on the shared balcony because our room was next to a smoking room and the guests there exercised their right to smoke. When we mentioned this in the morning the customer service was appalling with the receptionist shrugging her shoulders and asking what she could do. Well; for one thing not have a smoking room...
