"Hotel is located on a hill overlooking the valley - wonderful sunrise views. Property is well maintained and rooms/bathrooms well appointed. One issue for us - we may have been placed into an accessible room - the bathroom light was tied to the door of the bathroom opening - there was no way to control the light other than the door (I asked). If you use the bathroom at night, and do not want the light to come on - you had to pull your key out of the main switch at the wall which cut all power...

"There were renovations taking place during our atay which made finding the building difficult to find as the hotel sign was covered. Make sure you don't show up early for check-in as the doors are locked during certain parts of the day and only accessible with a key you receive when checking in. "Pleasant hotel in two parts - accommodation in second part which meant going outside to get breakfast etc. Room big with balcony, although road right outside it was not noisy. No air-con though. Breakfast good choice, cooked if you wanted it and meals in the hotel good too. Service a bit slow."

"Lovely hotel with restaurant and garden, brilliant on a hot evening. Nearby parking but only a few spaces. Annweiler is an unspoilt small German town with lots of nearby walks in Black Forrest. Hotel is simple, clean and in a lovely location in the centre of the old town."

"Great view of the Rhein River and easy access to many places to eat. You can hear the trains go by on the opposite side of the Rhein which was OK with us. What was not OK was the two buses of high school kids that arrived the night before we left. Every 15 to 20 minutes until :30 am. It was terrible. First night was great."
