"We have stayed 4x here and it is very convenient to main road, dog friendly, easy parking. First experience good with tapas/ bar/ dinner. 2nd just had tapas in bar. 3rd - restaurant closed but dinner served in bar, post covid seemed staffing problems, very slow service. Arrived last night after very long drive. No food. Receptionist took pity on us and made a sandwich. It was Epiphany but it’s still a hotel so the basics should be available. "A little gem of a place and very unusual. A very interesting building, claimed to be over 1000 years. Food and wines excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful."

"The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff were lovely and helpful. The simple breakfast for 3.5 euros was ideal to get us going. The only problem was that we stayed on a Monday which meant that there were no restaurants open and we had to drive 5km down the road. We didn’t get to see Simancas. There is some road noise but it did not disturb our sleep.We will probably stay again if we have the same ferry timings."

"The hotel was not clean...our room had used toilet paper..no clean toilet brush..there was fluff and hair blowing around in the corridor...communication with the one man who seemed to be working there was met with a shrug of the shoulders. Your description of the hotel was incorrect...there is no bar!"

"The room was spacious, but does not have a window. I felt like I am a prisoner. The hotel does not have emergency exit as well. In the case of fire, you are dead. The toilet does not flush after you flushed once. You have to wait more than 15 mins. You can't escape!"
