"We were here to view the xterra triathlon. This is a tiny town but the accommodation was excellent with a nice staff and excellent breakfast and meal options. Sadly it was quite wet and rainy while there so we did not get to be out as much as we would have liked. Having this place as a refuge was welcome. "

"Mixed review. We stayed on a Sunday evening. Be prepared to not be able to get anything food & drink wise at the hotel past 3pm. Staff were helpful in finding us restaurants nearby that would be open for dinner but without a car options were very very limited. Had a misunderstanding on checkout which whilst was an accident on their side I felt very awkward and uncomfortable about so service then was quite poor. Room was very clean. Lake view lovely. "I needed a last minute stay whilst on a motorcycle tour through Europe. I turned up as the kitchen was closing and the manager asked the chef if he would stay on to cook me a meal. I’m not fussy and let the chef cook what he had on hand, a selection of local cured meats, foie gras and crusty bread for an appetiser and an amazing dish of chicken, mushrooms and a white wine sauce. Truly a stay to remember if only for one night. "
