"Hotel Ibis is convenient for those travelling to Saumur by train-- property is literally right across street from station. Friendly service ( I can speak a bit of French; they could speak some English so all good for check-in, etc! Also.one staffer who was fully bilingual.). Good breakfast in pleasant dining area. "Beautiful old mansion. Our room totally renovated, but fun to see the old features of a mansion like that out in the country. The staff was also extraordinarily friendly and warm. Thank you!"

"Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

The hotel was easy to find and located right next to a roundabout that let you go anywhere in the region. There were shops across the highway (accessible by car 2 minutes). Great place to stay if exploring the region’s Chteaux. "
