The hotel is centrally-located with a Mexican bar/restaurant right next door; both times we stayed there, we had no issues with outside noise. No air conditioning units, just a vertical fan. The hotel is at the end of its street in a quiet neighborhood and backs up to farmland. Plenty of free parking. "This quaint hotel in the middle of Stein, is what we all think of the charming, cozy, German Inn. The woodwork is beautiful, the food is high quality, the beer is good, and the staff is helpful (speaks English), and are vey welcoming. It is in the middle of town, just a few short steps to a bakery and a number of other shops. "Second visit and staff / service were still very friendly and efficient. Food in restaurant was very good, wholesome, traditional and great value, as was its artisan beer. Although room decor a little tired, it was clean and serviced daily. Also found out rooms and restaurant dog friendly. Would definitely book again if staying in the area. "
