The hotel is within walking distance to the bus station and also a local beach with very few tourists and small market areas, though it is around 6km away from the more lively Uppaveli beach. The nice lady who was at the hotel (we were unable to speak to her in the local language) did not let us through the gate then called someone who told me that the hotel was under refurbishment hence shut.
