"We arrived to the hotel via tram from the train station. The location of this hotel is awesome! Literally the most popular sites are outside the door. The downside is that it was very noisy outside from people walking by very early in the morning. We kept the window open at night to get the room cool and for fresh air. The front staff and housekeepers whom we met were friendly. I loved hearing the church bells ringing. Overall, we would stay again. Gent captured our hearts. "

"The property was great...but to checkin in the building across the road is strange! Even more so that you have to wake up in morning and cross the busy main road to get your morning breakfast...strange! "

"We had a very enjoyable stay in this hotel. The rooms are smallish but you get everything you need, although maybe an in room kettle would be useful. The shower was always warm and a good pressure on the water. The bed was very comfortable. Our room (239) was on the second floor towards the rear of the hotel so was a very quiet room. The food at breakfast was really nice and plenty of it, so felt good value. The staff were helpful and polite. The hotel is a great location for exploring...

"Staff is extremely friendly. Though they don’t have a bar on premise, the hotel is located right next to the main cathedral and is a 5 min walk to the night life area. But it’s off a side street that isn’t noisy. Room is a little small but it’s fine for me "

"Stayed here for a couple of nights. Excellent value for money and a short walk from the train station. The check in was efficient and friendly. Room was warm and comfortable and very quiet. Didn't like the pillows as they weren't to my preference. Hotel is well situated and there are plenty of restaurants, bars and supermarkets close by. Free hot drinks in the bar was welcome. Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that. Wouldn't hesitate to use again "

"This is a fantastic place to stay. Close to public transport. Well appointed, spacious rooms. The staff were incredible, especially Meliesa, who will definitely win receptionist of the year. She went over and beyond, train tickets, bus timetables, city card, recommendations of places to visit all with a cheerful, happy demeanour. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Castelnou Apartments and would recommend it to any traveller."

"I would go back. Staff was very friendly and tried very hard to make my stay enjoyable. Minus one star because I had to go buy an electrical adapter and I got lost looking for the laundry. Also, couldn’t find the hair dryer or room safe till the last day. Breakfast was tasty and the lady in the breakfast area was super friendly and took pride in her work. Rooms were very clean and bed comfortable. Loved my balcony overlooking the city. One lovely staff member even went to the store to buy...

"We were having issues connecting to the internet. The staff working, Vicky (I believe her name is), tried her best to troubleshoot the issue. It didn’t resolve it but we appreciate the effort she made, going over and above, for the issue to be resolved and for our stay to be worthwhile. The problem was beyond her control but the dedication she showed was truly remarkable. Give her a raise!!"
