"The staff was friendly, helpful, and accommodating. We weren’t able to get the airport shuttle, but just did an uber for about $6 USD. The next day we took their Tuk Tuk back to airport, and that was really fun for under $2 USD. It was absolutely worth it to get out of the airport for that night, and have a bed and a warm shower before our next flight. The bottle waters were greatly appreciated. "I had read some not so great reviews before leaving however I found Amora Lagoon a lovely hotel. It is a hotel in another country so things aren’t always going to be exactly what you expect from a local hotel however I found it quite pleasant. Not only were they able to assist in my commute to the airport and back, they were able to help me to items I needed, plan other upcoming trips and even store my luggage until my final stay before returning home. "Ishan provided everything we needed during our stay and the bird house was a perfect spot to stay. The bathroom which is connected to the bedroom was very clean and the bedroom was really cool in the evening. It is slightly noisy at night with the local wildlife but it was definitely manageable. We had breakfast and dinner cooked by Ishan’s mother which was very good and well priced. "

"No toiletries, didn’t feel safe, it’s in a corner of the town that is hidden and hard to find. It was sketchy. There’s a net on the roof of the bathroom so anyone can come see inside from above; no privacy. People can see inside through the curtains. The staff were nice. "We booked the hotel through Wotif and went to the reception, but they kept asking whether we had made the payment. We sent the receipt along with the confirmation. However, we were given a room that was not clean—the TV didn’t work, and there was hair everywhere. About 30 minutes later, they came to our room again and asked us to send the receipt once more. We felt embarrassed, as if we hadn’t paid and were trying to stay for free. Not recommended at all. Please stay away."
