"Excellent location in Haliburton. Staff was excellent. Rooms require some updating especially the bathroom. Wood for the room was very pricey and not having the dining room for food closed was difficult especially on a weekend of a snowstorm. Otherwise beautiful location and the ice rink, outdoor fire and option to snowshoe was great. "

"The cottage was old, but well-equiped, comfortable and spacious. There are two negative aspects: 1. proximity to the road so that it was noisy at times; 2. cleanliness was generally good though we collected a lot of sand when we swept the floors and the toilet seat had not been throughly cleaned."

Thermostat was set to off but one of the electric heaters was blasting heat. It was a very uncomfortably hot night with only one window open. Air conditioner was not installed. "Amazing four night stay, this our second time here my wife and I visited. The staff and chefs have a delightful presence and provide excellent service and care. "

"We booked our stay in advance and it fell on the weekend of a huge snow storm 3 feet. Power went out as well. But we had heat thankfully, and owners had a generator. They kept the driveways clear of snow. The view was picturesque. It was peaceful fun. "
