"We really enjoyed our time at the hotel and had a wonderful stay here - we're looking forward to coming back! The moving wrap around advert in the bar and restaurant isn’t nice at all and ruins the environment. The staff were lovely and it wasn’t clear that the parking would be an additional cost. "

"The staff were very friendly and helpful especially at check in ofering to carry bags. We ate at the hotel as well with mixed results. The bedroom was large, clean, as was the bathroom. Some silly bits wrong, the kettle just reached the socket making it slightly unsafe. Had to put hot mugs on a new chest which wasnt ideal but all in all excellent stay, fab breakfast "

"Arrived late Friday night to a warm welcome and warm clean rooms. Great sized family room with a double bed, tele and books in the 1st, with twin beds in a room that led from it. Hubby even managed to get a drink once we'd unloaded the car. Tasty breakfast with choice of cereals, yoghurts and full English which could be adapted down to a bacon sandwich or something else if preferred. Friendly owner and car park adjacent where we could see our car from our room. Nice view of fields and sheep out...

"We had never visited Wells and was interested in going to the Cathedral and Bishops Palace. Hotel looked well placed for this. Overall a good hotel with a good restaurant. Room a bit snug and absence of shower not great for visitors of a certain age. Bath looked like too much of a slip hazard. "
