Each time the hotel and rooms were clean and tidy, good service, food and bar - our only concern what’s been the beds - uncomfortable, double beds not wide enough. Have never had a good nights sleep in any of them. Shame, as it is the only thing that lets the hotel down."

"Lovely period hotel on the outskirts of Bedford. Good size bedroom and bathroom with all the amenities needed. Lovely bar area and the breakfast was fabulous. Would definitely stay again when in the area "

"No negatives except a suggestion of a long mirror would be helpful , a non slip shower mat and easier access to the iron which needs a longer cord. Hotel and stay very good. "

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"
