"The reception staff was very friendly. However the room was a disappointment. There was not toilet paper, the sheets were dirty and stained. I had to use a towel on the bottom sheet and slept in my clothes. I booked for two nights and stayed one night and checked out. The location was nice very close to the beach and local restaurants. I would not recommend staying here. "

We reached the hotel only to be told that they do not have a tie-up with hotels.com or expedia. Fortunately, it was a 'Pay-at-Proeperty' reservation and hence did not lose any money. "This was my favorite hotel that I stayed in while in Kerala. The service was top notch - the staff went out of their way to make my stay comfortable and memorable! The property sits right on the water. The rooms are spacious. The food was wonderful. They helped me coordinate a canoe ride through the backwaters. In order to get to the property in this prime location, the car ride is on a small dirt road at the end."

Hot shower if you want it - but I’ve learned to love taking cold showers here - and the bathroom was perfectly clean and well appointed. I will be back here at the Gypsy next year for sure."

It’s far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the cliffs but yet a short walk if you want to venture out for a meal. The beach is fabulous and the Arabian Sea water is so warm and therapeutic.
