"The property has 2 buildings, one closer to the village centre and another one with direct access to the beach. We were lucky to be by the Gaia beach just opposite ours, which has a nicer swimming pool and a bar/restaurant, which is very good and part of the hotel management. The main restaurant is in the building close to the village centre and they do offer a very brief transfer between the two with an electric car at breakfast and dinner time. "I have stayed at the Esperia on many occasions. The hotel is extremely well run. The staff are 'wonderful', always friendly and helpful. The location is near to the beach, the Mandraki ( harbour) and the Old Town. It is also convenient for bus services."

"Only here for 4 days, served its purpose. Had a swim up room facing the pool. Which was a god send as the pool area is very busy as you’d expect during school holiday. "The hotel itself was a bit outdated, the elevator was very small, and the beds weren’t the most comfortable BUT that staff was really friendly which I appreciated. There’s a small market connected to the hotel which was convenient and as soon as you walk out of the hotel you’re at the beach and close to several restaurants. The hotel is located in bar road basically which we didn’t mind but if you don’t like noise then don’t stay here. "

"Good hotel and pool, beach across the road. If you wish to get a sunbed at the beach, go early, as there aren’t many beds. Friday food is the best of the week. Cocktails after 6pm are really good. On the downside, the hotel is a bit dated, but it is reflected in the price. No ac in the public rooms."

"Very poor quality food, limited choices, poor housekeeping, in our 10 day stay, our sheets were changed once, the room was not cleaned at all. The pool dirty/cloudy and constantly full of bugs, and was generally in bad condition with broken lights, tiles (with sharp edges) and plagued with ants. Drinks were the usually cheap all inclusive type, and frequently some types were out of stock. Staff were generally friendly and pleasant though. Would not stay again."

"Stuff were nice but you have to pay for things that you don't expect to pay for. You have to pay extra to use the AC, safe was not working, shower floor had the opposite slop so water never drained. "
