"Prepare for amazing views, but bring cleaning supplies and mouse traps! We were so excited to stay here. Unfortunately, that was quickly dampened. The property had not been cleaned. There were dirty dishes, cobwebs in most windows and some doors, shavings left in the sink, and dirty sheets. We also found mouse droppings on the counter and had mice running across our feet. "Normally my wife and I are not big bed and breakfast people. However, Harbour Cottage had some of the best reviews in the Acadia National Park area. We gave it a try and we are so glad we did. The Inn Keeper, Arlo, was very helpful with advice on trails. The Owner, Don, was friendly and helpful with tour and restaurant recommendations. The Inn is located on the "quiet side" of the island, which was a blessing for us because we were able to avoid the bustle of Bar Harbor in the mornings and...
