"I have stayed here regularly over the years, but havent been since befoe Covid hit. The hotel has been updated since my last visit and the rooms particularly have benefited from the makeover. The lounge and bar and new Orangery are welcoming spaces. The restaurant has also had a similar makeover, the staff were attentive and friendly. Our mains coukd have done with being hotter when they arrived, but that was our only criticism."

Initially I parked on street using the English language enabled parking meter and card payment. I then used the hotel car park, which was quite expensive, for our two day stay. "Good little hotel for an overnight stay, great location, 10 min walk to station and town. 20 min drive from EuroTunnel. We didnt eat, but the cafe/bar area seemed popular. MultiStorey Car Park adjacent, £11.00 for 24 hours, safe and secure parking."

"Lovely hotel, very helpful staff, I asked for a couple of extra items and they were so accommodating. Beautiful old building but now done to the highest standards. Fabulous breakfast too. Bed very comfortable and bathroom very clean. This was my second visit. I hope to go there again soon. "

"Very poor, booked on the basis of 8 out of 10 rating but honestly not sure who posted these reviews. Booked a second night for the following week ( non refundable) and couldn't bring myself to return so booked a different hotel meaning more than double the cost. No water in the shower, no food and damp bedding. Service was poor and I was made to feel unwelcome. Stayed at the Ibis budget and felt like a rock star compared to this place. Avoid like the plague."

"Just over the border from France, a good stop if you are heading north from Clais. Quiet location, parking appears limited at first sight but the hotel will tell you where you can park if you arrive when the restaurant is busy. Staff all very friendly, welcoming and professional.
