The hotel is nicely decorated, very clean, spacious room, comfortable bed and good facilities including a small fridge, and a microwave (we didn’t use, but would come in handy). Check in and check out were both very easy, and we managed to get a space in the car park. Unfortunately our sleep was impacted by a relatively large green emergency light in the room that could not be turned off, so recommend bringing an eye mask if you need darkness to sleep. Our...

"This was an absolute gem of a retreat. I was on a choir visit at The Abbey and needed to get there and back quickly between rehearsals and services and the place was just gorgeous. Beautifulmbig bedroom with all those little touches and sweet garden. Staff really helpful about leaving the car there after checkout and having a friend over for coffee. Breakfast was incredible…I want to come back!!!"

"Fantastic location directly opposite the cathedral. As it's the old gatehouse, the stairs to the rooms take a bit of effort as there is no lift but you do get a real feeling of originality. We ate in the hotel and the food was excellent, as was the breakfast. The staff were all very friendly and helpful."
