We dined in on 2 nights out of three and had very well prepared local food. The staff were very friendly and attentive to our needs. "The room was clean, but the mini fridge was left unplugged and someone left food in it so it continued to make the room smell horrible. We had to wait a while at the front desk, because the lady was outside and didn’t hear the bell ring multiple times. Didn’t like that the door was a key. So if there’s more than one person staying and someone left and the other stayed, the other was locked in basically. "Beautiful hotel tucked away in the wine-making hills of Ockfen close to the Saar river. From the hotel we visited Trier which was a very nice experience. We visited during end of November, which is low season. The hotel itself is very well maintained, very beautiful, and the staff (like the people of the area) are all very friendly. There are play rooms and a sauna, so plenty of opportunities for relaxing. The hotel has a restaurant which is open to the public. Highly recommend visiting."
