"Our stay at the Hotel zum Goldenen Lowen was very nice and very comfortable. The room was larger than expected and was very quiet at night. The hotel is centrally located in Baden-Baden and convenient to shopping and other sites. We were here for the Christmas markets and they were only a few blocks away (easy to walk to). We recommend this hotel and will probably stay here again."

The key to the room was on a board by the phone and I had been told where the room was. The entry for the hotel in the website said there was a restaurant but it was closed. "we booked the property based on the very appealing restaurant pictures. However the restaurant was closed and alternative dining options are very poor. We couldn't even order some hot coffee during the afternoon as all the machines were off. The village is ok(ish) but good luck using your card for paying, it seems they got stuck in 2015 as cash is the only option. The hotel's pool, spa and breakfast were good."

"Very nice boutique-type hotel in a very nice quiet side street. We had a little blip when the property was locked when we got there, but a kind delivery man was very helpful and reached the owner (?) for us. Clean rooms, new bathrooms. They held our luggage while we roamed the town after check-out."
