The property is a good walk (20 mins) from the centre of town but the route is well lit and safe and the hotel has some bikes available to borrow free of charge which we didn't use but is a nice touch. "Bien situé au centre historique de la vieille ville. Cependant, vous ne pouvez pas vous rendre à l'hôtel avec votre voiture, c'est important de le savoir, Grand stationnement à proximité, mais il y a beaucoup de voitures, pas si facile de trouver un stationnement et nous étions au mois de novembre, dans la saison basse. Le téléviseur ne fonctionnait pas et une lumière n'allumait pas. Nous avons demandé que ce soit corrigé, rien n'a été fait. Je crois quand même que c'est une bonne adresse...

"The hotel has a relatively high rating but we weren't enthralled. We booked a sea view room and were under the impression that we would have a modern bathroom and a balcony with a sofa. We ended up with an old and well-used bathroom with a plastic shower curtain which the website photos show only for the economy rooms we which didn't have. "Beware! This hotel is NOT in Nafplio. It is falsely listed as being Nafplio. We had wanted to visit Nafplio and had only one night to do so, so we were VERY disappointed. This is 20 minutes from Nafplio. Lovely hotel and staff, but we were unable to visit Nafplio as we had wanted. Neither hotel nor Expedia would offer any full or partial refund. Poor form."

"We had a wonderful stay at Amaryllis Hotel. This hotel exceeded our expectations, clean, spacious, comfortable, good breakfast and easy parking. The owner, Mr Ianni was amazing and beyond helpful. Our bags we lost by the airline and Mr Ianni pulled out all stops in communicating with the airline to find them and have them returned to us - he even offered to collect them from drop off point in another town. We highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return there when we next visit...
